Washing & Drying Your Handmade Knitwear.

  • Hand wash in lukewarm water — warm like bathwater — with a small amount of mild detergent.

  • Gently submerge the garment and squeeze softly through the water to clean. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all soap is removed.

  • Wring out gently to remove excess moisture.

  • Lay the garment flat on a clean dry towel and reshape while damp. Smooth out any folds or stretching with your hands.

  • Never hang your knit to dry — natural fibers are heavy when wet and will stretch out of shape. Allow to air dry completely away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

Ironing is safe — use a medium heat setting with a pressing cloth or slightly damp towel placed between the iron and the garment.

Professional Cleaning:

  • For heavier wool sweaters professional dry cleaning is recommended.
